Site measure

Book a measure at a time the room is actually free

Most openings need eyes on them before anyone can quote honestly. Tell us when the room is free, whether that is before opening, between bookings or during term break, and we work around it. A site measure and quote are free within 50 km of our Keilor East workshop. Further out, travel is shown as its own line on the quote, and the further the site is from the workshop, the more that line is.

What happens on site

Half an hour, and the quote stops being a guess

We measure the structural opening

Width, height, square, floor level and the head condition. We measure the opening it has to live in, not the door that is there now.

We check what limits the job

Stack space, ceiling void, head fixing and access. This is where the surprises live, and finding them now is the whole point.

You get a written quote

Itemised, with anything that has to be done by your builder listed separately so nobody assumes it is in our scope.

Do you need a measure at all?

Not always. A straight replacement into a known opening can often be quoted from photos and dimensions, which is faster for you and cheaper for us. That is usually the case for a single accordion door or a repair. An operable wall almost always needs the head checked in person.
